Helen M Miller

Helen Marie Miller, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, May 10th 2016. Helen was born at Oklahoma City to Karl and Leota Herber. She moved to Ardmore, Oklahoma at age 15 where she met her husband-to-be, Aaron Miller (AJ) in High School. They married at age 18 and spent the next 68 years together, having two children, David and Paul. Helen was at the top of her graduating class in high school and earned a BA from Oklahoma State University and a Master's degree from Ohio State University. Helen and AJ moved to Columbus in 1966 where she taught math at Northland High School and later Otterbein College. She was an active member of Lane Avenue Baptist Church, where she served as church treasurer, and a member of The Crossing Community Church. Helen loved traveling with her husband, reading and church activities, but most of all her family, daughters-in-law, Kathy (Beickelman) and Denise (Leary) and grandchildren, Nicole, Matthew and Andrea who were the light of her life. Family will receive friends on Monday, May 16, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd. Columbus, OH 43221. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at The Crossing Community Church, 4770 Britton Pkwy, Hilliard, OH 43026. With Dr. Wayne Nicholson officiating.
