Helen Neary

Helen Neary, age 82 of Gahanna, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015. Helen was born and raised in Rochester, New York, daughter of the late Edward and Verna Goodman. Also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert M. Neary, children, Mary Neary and Thomas Patrick Neary, and siblings, Edward, James, and Thomas Goodman and Dorothy Keenan. Helen was a warm, caring, and thoughtful woman. She enjoyed bowling, crafts, and writing letters. Because she had such a tremendous love for her family and friends, Helen will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her children, Kevin (Catherine) Neary, Mark (Laurie) Neary, Maureen (Michael) McNamara, Timothy (Mary Jane) Neary, and Robert Neary; daughter-in-law, Janet Neary; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and 24 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Friday, July 24, 2015 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., where family will receive friends from 2 P.M. until time of service. Father William Arnold officiating. Burial will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
