Helen Mae Shaffer

Helen Mae Shaffer, age 66, went home to be with our Lord May 27, 2010. Helen is preceded in death by her biological parents, Marley and Bethleen Shaffer; adoptive parents who raised her, Charles and Lula Casto; and brothers, Cloyde, Stanley, Tink, and Wedge. Helen was a very strong and independent woman who knew exactly what she liked. She loved being able to surprise people and was a very helpful. Helen enjoyed watching birds and feeding ducks, she found it to be very peaceful.

She is survived by her brothers, Ralph, Leroy, Ron, John, and Donnie; sissy, Betty; sisters-law-Dorothy and Fanny and family; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Eastland Care Center, 2425 Kimberly Parkway E., Columbus, Ohio 43232 where family will receive friends from 1 pm until time of service.
