Helen J. Shaffer, age 74 of Columbus, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2010. Helen is preceded in death by her brother, James. She is survived by her children, Clarence (Diane) Shaffer, Cynthia Ann (Charles) Gregory and Carl Eugene (Bobbi) Shaffer, II; grandchildren, Emma, Aaron, Gavin, Veronica, Brandon, Amanda and Kara; and 4 great grandchildren. Helen enjoyed walking, going to garage sales, Ohio State Buckeyes and working on her crossword puzzles. She cherished the simple things in life and her family brought a smile to her face. Family will receive friends on Monday, March 15, 2010 from 6-8pm at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229. Private interment to take place at Northlawn Memory Gardens.
