

Herrick F (Rick) Laylin of Dublin, Ohio passed away suddenly on 10/31/16.Born 1/28/40 in Columbus, Ohio. Graduated from Upper Arlington High School and The Ohio State University. Served in U S Navy 1959 – 1963. Served in the Peace Corps as the first volunteers in Korea
1966 - 1968.His professional career spanned 30 plus years in the airline industry with Pan Am and United.
Preceded in death by his parents Edward and Eleanor Laylin.
Survived by his wife of 44 years, Gloria, son Christopher(Rachel), granddaughters Avery and Cadi, brothers Peter(Sara) Tucson, Arizona, Jeffrey(Carla) Upper Arlington, and sister Dana Travaglini(Mark) Annapolis, Maryland.
Rick had many interests but golf was his deep love. He played golf as long as there wasn’t snow on the ground. He was very proud of his 2 holes-in-one. He continued his fondness for Korea with the Friends of Korea organization. Just recently he was asked to join the board of the organization. He was very active in the community and loved interacting with whomever he came in contact. He touched the lives of many people throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
