Hilda LaFlora Allen, age 89, passed away on December 31, 2024 at home. She was born on May 14, 1935 in Ocean Springs, Mississippi to the late Gertrude (Barnes) and Henry Hand, Sr. In addition to her parents, Hilda was preceded in death by her husband, Miles Roy Allen; daughters, Yvette Allen and Arnita Allen and brother, Lester Hand. She is survived by her son, Kenneth (Victoria) Allen and daughters, Felicia (Jerry) Jenkins, Belinda Allen, and Betty Allen; grandchildren, Richard Turnbo III, Phillip Jenkins, Brian Allen, Eli Allen, and O’tisha Cuffe; many great-grandchildren; siblings, Henry Hand, Jr., Bertha Hand, Charles Hand, and Catherine Hand; a host of nieces and nephews and many special friends. Family will receive friends 12:00 pm -1:00 pm Friday, January, 10, 2025 at Schoedinger East, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where the funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm. Entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
