

Irene Christine Deubner, 100, (nee Schuetter), from Dublin, Ohio passed away on August 20, 2021. She was born on March 10, 1921 in Terre Haute, Indiana to the late Albert and Dessie (nee. Apple) Schuetter.
She worked for the American Red Cross during WWII and later part-time for Scientific Columbus. She attended Ohio State University and enjoyed watching the Buckeyes sports teams. She was a model in ads for Kroger Grocery Stores. Always caring for others, Irene was a volunteer for 25 years at Doctor's Hospital Gift Shop, and numerous other volunteer activities including, Hospital Twig, Columbus Symphony, Muirfield Golf Tournament, Dublin Irish Festival, Dublin Recreation Department Seniors, Dublin Garden Club, and Women Today. Irene was also a member of the Scioto Country Club, Muirfield Golf Club, and The Columbus Ski Club.
Preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Russell L. Deubner; two brothers and a sister; and daughter-in-law, Donna Christine Deubner (nee Coachman).
She is survived by son, Scott of Hilliard, Ohio and daughter, Cheryl (Tom) of Aurora, Ohio; grandsons, Scott Deubner of Hilliard, Ohio and Andrew (Colleen) Shrout of Aurora, Ohio; and four great grandsons, Owen Deubner and Conor-Thomas, Drew and Adam "A.J." Shrout.
Arrangements entrusted to SCHOEDINGER DUBLIN where a visitation will be held on Monday, August 30 from 11:30pm-1:30pm followed by a funeral service at 1:30pm. Interment will take place afterwards at Kingwood Memorial Park.
