Irene M McGuinness

Irene M. McGuinness, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 19, 2025. Born in 1936 to Ann and Fred Grospin, Irene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas, granddaughter Christine, and daughter-in-law Shar.

Irene is lovingly remembered by her children: daughters Patricia and Lorraine and son-in-law Jim, sons Michael and daughter-in-law Lisa, and Edward. She also leaves behind eight cherished grandchildren: Matthew, Cristy, Joseph, Johnathan, Justin, Caitlin, Brian, and Kelleen—and four great-grandchildren: Kelsie, Greyson, Lily, and Lucy May.

Irene found immense joy nurturing her garden and spending quiet evenings by the wood-burning stove. A talented seamstress, she delighted in sewing projects for those she cared for. Her dedication to community service was evident through her volunteer work at the Golden Hobby Shop, the Reynoldsburg Cancer Thrift Shop, and her involvement with both the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts organizations.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at chapel in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Pataskala Ohio Holy Cross Cemetery | Catholic Cemeteries of Columbus.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association (https://www.alz.org/centralohio?form=FUNDHYMMBXU) in Irene’s memory.
