Ivan Richard Scott

Ivan Richard Scott, 88, passed away Monday, March 2, 2015. He was born April 26, 1926 in Fredericksburg, Ohio to the late Virgil and Ethel Scott. He was a 1946 graduate of Sciotoville East H.S. and was a proud WWII U.S. Navy veteran. He retired in 1986 from General Motors and spent 16 years volunteering with Hospice of Columbus. He was a member of Briggsdale United Methodist Church, a charter member of Franklin County Genealogy Society, and member of First Families of Ohio. Ivan was also a member of American Legion Post #532 and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #11. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Mark Scott; sisters, Stella Rogers and Marcella Sharron; grandson, Loren Baugess. Ivan is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Margaret "Meg" Scott; sons, Michael Scott and David Scott; daughter, Lana (Darrell) Brewer; grandchildren, Larry Baugess, Jr., Benjamin Scott, and Elizabeth (Clay) Mace; great-grandchildren, Justin, Paint, Ava, Luke, and Levi; nieces, Diana (Jeff) Guglielmi, Linda Briggs and Roxanne Storrer; and special friends, Lovell and Wanda May and Roland and Joyce Whittaker. Visitation will be 12 - 2 PM Saturday, March 7 2015 at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City where the funeral service will follow at 2 PM. Interment Grove City Cemetery.
