Jack Ellsworth Downing, Dublin, OH. After a loving and giving life of 91 years, Jack E. Downing passed into the Lord’s comforting arms on January 21, 2010. As a former coach and teacher, he left his magnificent and indelible thumbprint forever emblazoned on the lives of hundreds of his students and players as well as his family. Jack was also a proud patriotic veteran of WWII. Daddy will always be lovingly remembered and missed by his family and friends as a man among men, whose feet were always firmly planted on the ground, knowing and living a selfless life of the highest standards of honor and caring. Jack is survived by his children, Jack R. Downing and his wife Sandra, Amy Hoy and her husband Paul; grandchildren, Jamison Downing, Nathan Hoy, Matthew Hoy, Hannah Hoy and great-grandchild, Kingston Downing. We love you Daddy.
