Jack E. Myers, Jr., age 59, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2012. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, on September 23, 1952, and moved to Ohio in 1966. He graduated from Eastmoor High School in 1971. Jack served our country in the US Army where he received the Distinguished Trooper Award of the 82nd Airborne Division. He was a member of the 2nd Battalion (Airborne) 321st Field Artillery, and he graduated with an Honor Certificate in the top 10 percent of his class from the US Army Southeastern Signal School. He held several supervisory roles and retired from Ebco Oasis after 29 years. He was truly a Jack of all trades and could fix anything. He was a craftsman and enjoyed working with wood and leather, and he was also very artistic. He wrote poetry, drew murals, and made beautiful string art. He also enjoyed camping, skiing, and white water rafting in his younger years. Most of all, Jack loved his family and was a devoted father. He cherished the time he spent with his children, and he loved taking them to the beach. Jack is survived by his daughter and son, Shannon Marie and Dean Michael Myers; his mother, Elizabeth Myers; siblings, Jean (Mike) Kight, Mary Kirkland, Jane (Dave) Gaulden, Liz (Randy) Herbert, and Ann (Steve) Sasfy; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack E. Myers.
