James E. Crabtree

Born on August 20, 1936 in Bowling Green, KY to the late Elmer and Arty Crabtree, he was a graduate of Western University of Kentucky with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. He taught high school in Kentucky prior to relocating to Columbus where he worked as a supervisor for 37 years until his retirement from Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission.

His wife, Patria (Gimenez) Crabtree, of 41 ½ years, whom he met in London, England, survives. In addition, he is survived by a brother Jack (Patricia) Crabtree, of New Mexico, 29 nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other friends and family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 4-7PM at SCHEODINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna where a memorial service will be held immediately following at 7PM with Pastor Steve Petty officiating. A Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
