James "Jim" F. Sanders

James F. “Jim” Sanders, age 86, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2014 in Pataskala, OH. Jim was born on November 27, 1927, to the late Francis A. Sanders and Susan Mildred (Pollard) Sanders in Wimauma, Florida. He is survived by partner, Susan Hoelscher and her son, Brian Hoelscher; son, James Douglas Sanders (Fran Neil); daughter, Gail Renee Ahern (Bob Ahern); grandchildren, Rob (Katelin) Ahern, Luke (Kelsey) Ahern and Martin Ahern; and one sister, Mary Alice Harry) Goetz; nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Jim is a Veteran of World War II (Coast Guard) and the Korean War (Army). He was an engineer for Seaboard Coastline Railroad for thirty-seven years before retiring. He then worked for the Roger C. Perry Company for many years.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 11 am at the Schoedinger-Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. (at Beecher Rd.), Gahanna, OH 43230 where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Pastor Renee Ahern, officiating.
