James Kreutzfeld

James R. Kreutzfeld, age 89, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023. James was born in Toledo, Ohio to the late Adelbert and Alma (Tabbert) Kreutzfeld. Also preceding in death was his loving wife of 50 years Gayle Shaffer Kreutzfeld. He was a graduate of Libbey High School. After high school he attended OSU College of Medicine. He then served in the US Army at Fort Sam Houston. James worked as a Medical Illustrator and professor at the OSU College of Medicine from 1960-1991. James and Gayle loved to travel all over the world, from Italy to Australia and everywhere in between. In his later years he could often be found playing cards or enjoying time with his grandsons and great-grandchildren. James will be deeply missed by his loving daughters Rebecca (Greg Bickers) Marshall and Emily Kreutzfeld; grandsons Dylan (Abigail Goldsberry) Marshall and Dakotah Marshall; great-grandchildren Thomas Marshall and Jayda Goldsberry; sister Lynne Stabley; several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Per James request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to WOSU Public Media Classical 101.1 FM, 1800 N.
