

James (Jim) Michael Kubik, Sr., age 67, passed away peacefully on December 6th, 2016. He was born on February 24, 1949 in Cleveland, Ohio to Martin and Mary (Zedilla) Kubik. He attended Ohio University and earned a Bachelors in Engineering. He worked for 6 years as an engineer for Bendix (30) and Ridge Tool (6).
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Martin A. Kubik. He is survived by his mother, Mary (Zedilla) Kubik, his loving wife of 39 years, Joyce (Abshire) Kubik, son James (Tracey) Kubik, daughter Jennifer (Neil Zipfel)Kubik, daughter Kathryn (Andrew) Viglietta and five grandchildren, Landon (8), Avery(6), Hudson(7), Matteo(7) and Noah(4).
Jim was a loving and loyal husband, devoted father, father-in-law, and was adored by his grandchildren. He will most be remembered for his sense of humor and infectious laugh that would fill up any room with joy. He could build, fix, and make anything work and had an amazing talent for quoting history. Jim was so proud of his family and you could see the look of joy in his eyes when he was together with them. His grandchildren will miss their grandpa who always made them laugh, played toys with them and give big hugs.
We would like to thank the Kobacker House in Columbus Ohio for their incredible care in Jim's last days. In lieu of flowers we ask for donations to Kobacker Hospice, Liver Foundation, or The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration.
Visitation will be held at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna from 4-7PM on December 9, 2016 where a Prayer Service will be held at 7PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Church of the Resurrection, 6300 E Dublin Granville Rd, New Albany on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 10:30AM with Fr. Jim Csaszar officiating. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
