

James David “Jim” Pache passed away last week in his home in Columbus, Ohio. Jim is preceded in passing by his father James Joseph Pache and mother Billie Jean (Ramey) Pache. He is survived by, and will be deeply missed by, sisters Bernadine Pache Banks, Lisa Mae Zigler and Amy Jo Pache; nephews Justin Michael Anthony Pache and Devon Joseph Zigler, and niece Iyana Monet Cardwell. Jim was active in the Grace Brethren Church congregation, where he served as an usher for over 20 years. Jim had many friends and acquaintances in the congregation, and in the Worthington Towers community where he lived. Residents recall that Jim always had a smile or kind word for everyone. Jim was born in Columbus in 1964, attended Westland High School, and served honorably in the United States Army. An Ohio State fan from an early age, Jim participated in a Punt, Pass & Kick Camp held by legendary Buckeye coach Woody Hayes. Jim was an avid collector of autographs and sports memorabilia. He was an outdoorsman who took many enjoyable trips to Deer Creek State Park, and enjoyed watching Duck Dynasty. Friends and family are invited to calling hours, from 6 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, June 30, at Schoedinger Funeral Home, 6699 North High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085. Services are at 10:30 am Wednesday, July 1, followed by interment at Kingwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, friends may make a donation in Jim’s name to Grace Brethren Church.
