James R. Pierpoint

James Ray Pierpoint, age 62, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 24, 2010. He was born on July 29, 1947, in Chesterhill, Ohio, to the late James and Vaude Pierpoint. A graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School, Jim served our country in the US Air Force, as well as the Air National Guard. He owned All Points Shipping in Gahanna for several years, and most recently worked for Priority Dispatch. He was married for 37 years to his love, Judie Pierpoint, who survives. He is also survived by his children, Jodie Pierpoint and Jimmy Pierpoint; siblings, Barbara (Tom) Leeper, Ken Pierpoint, and Don (Karen) Pierpoint; and many nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends. Jim loved to spend time with his family on the water at their summer house on the Muskingum River. He was a good man, quiet and humble, who never spoke negatively about anyone. Family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2010, at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home with Celebrant Andrew Hoover officiating. Inurnment will follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
