My wife A and I have known James for over 40 years and we both are so very sad that he has passed on. He was quiet and sensitive with that knowing smile of friendship and kindness. He will be missed. He leaves behind wonderful memories that enrich us through future years ! Goodbye and fond farewell to you James !

Jim was a lovely man who touched so many people. That he was respected, admired and loved so much by all his colleagues speaks volumes about his goodness and the deep void we are all feeling at his departure. I am grateful that I knew him.

It still feels unreal that I won’t be seeing Jim at work anymore.
We worked together for almost four years, and he was always the person I said bye to on my way out the door.
He was quiet, kind, and knew a surprising amount of music/pop culture trivia! Was always funny when all the rest of us would get stumped on a question during a team meeting, but he knew it 💕
Rest easy, friend.

Jim was such a sweet guy. I always found myself worrying about him. We chatted sometimes and I always asked how he was feeling. H e was looking forward to retirement and it breaks my heart that he didn't get a chance to enjoy it. Good bye ol' friend.

I was fortunate to work with Jim for 4 years at Main Library. I always felt grounded around him because he had such a calming, supportive presence. I've missed chatting with him at the reference desk and when we'd run into each other during our breaks in Topiary Park. Holding Jim, his family, and loved ones in the light.

Jim and I have worked together for 25 years. When first starting out, he always made me feel welcome. He was consistently kind. It's hard saying goodbye.

Jim was a wonderful guy to work with. I will miss him so much, especially on my Sunday team. May he rest in peace.
