Whether it was a Caribbean cruise or quick trip to Amish country, Jim loved to travel. He enjoyed volunteering at Scioto-Paint Valley and Berger Hospital when he was able. Jim loved his cats Spook, Chase, Squirt and Miss Gray. Although, not the best dishwasher in the world, his family will miss seeing him in his recliner, watching a football game or telling a good story (which usually led to a good joke!).
He is preceded in death by his parents and son David Timmons. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Diana (Berting) Timmons; brother Kirk (Beverly) Timmons of Cleveland, TN; “embraced” friends Jason and Will; and his cats.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Fr. Stephen L. Krile Celebrant. Interment to follow at Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger
