James "Jim" Constantine Venus

James “Jim” Constantine Venus, age 74, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010. He was born on December 9, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Constantine and Lena Venus. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from the Columbus Board of Education where he worked as an Engineering Technician. Jim was also a member of Turning Point Church of Christ in Christian Union. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Venus. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Joyce Venus; his children, Susie (Larry) Amerine, Kathy (Gil) Traverse, and Matt (Gail) Venus; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Kathryn (Harry) Prindle; and brother, Nicholas Venus.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 2:00PM at the SCHOEDINGER-NORRIS CHAPEL 3920 Broadway, Grove City where the family will receive friends from 1:00PM until time of service. Pastor Joel Moyar officiating.
