James Albert "Jim" Woods, 93, of Columbus, passed away on April 21, 2016. He was born on July 7, 1922 in St. Louis, MO to James Joseph and Louise Cora (Engel) Woods. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Dolores (Hogan) Woods, daughter Linda J. Kalb, grandson DJ Gantz, and sister Arlene Sanders. Jim proudly served in the Army during WWII, and loved to golf and read. He will be sadly missed by his children Ronald J. (Gloria) Woods and Vickie J. (Jack) Gantz; son-in-law Michael Kalb; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren. Family and friends will gather to remember and celebrate Jim from 6-8pm Monday, April 25, 2016 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road. His funeral will be held there at 10am Tuesday, April 26, 2017 with Andrew Hoover officiating. Burial will follow at Kingwood Memorial Park.
