James L. Woods

James Woods, age 80, of Grove City passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 in Edgewood, Kentucky. Jim was born on June 6, 1931 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Basil and Flossie (Bayes) Woods. He is also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Billie Jean Woods; survived by devoted children, Karen Morris, Deborah (Steven) Goble, Sandra (Marc) Mapel, Jamie (Jim) Sweeney and Michael (Dana) Woods; adored grandchildren, Aimee (Matthew), Bryan (Marcie), Jared, Cody, Scott, Shannon, Abbigail, Brianna and Catherine; great grandson, Noah; and beloved dog, Sadie. Jim was a USMC Veteran and member of the American Legion Post #164 in Grove City. He was an avid Kentucky Wildcats fan and enjoyed many golf trips with good friends. Above all, he loved his children and grandchildren and supported them in all of their activities throughout the years. Family will receive friends on Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 2-5pm at Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123; where funeral services will be on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 10am; Interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery.
