Jamie Taylor, 75, passed away peacefully at her home on May 27, 2021, but not before guiding the Law & Order SVU team to solve that evening’s case. She was the daughter of the late Olivia Chambers and the late James Hendrix and was the oldest of six siblings.
Jamie was always the strong-willed individual with a wit everyone appreciated and possessed the legendary ability to hear you out then offer an honest opinion whether it was solicited or not.
Her life was filled with seeking out opportunities to learn about new things including exploring places she found interesting. Her professional career as a computer programmer allowed her to travel the world and relocate for periods of time where she was able to live like a local and seek out the best margarita the area had to offer.
Jamie was a big fan of television crime shows, watching the classic movies, reading a good book and challenging herself with games like Mahjong. Most recently she had discovered YouTube which allowed her to spend large amounts of time seeking all the information available on her favorite celebrities.
In addition to enough Christmas decorations to rival the North Pole, Jamie leaves behind her daughters, Robin (Scott) French and Kelly (Kip) Welty, her son Greg Taylor; grandchildren: Kersti, Colton, Ethan, Jamie, and Steven; and great grandchildren: Emerson, Finley, Eliana, Tommaso, Marco, and Teresa.
Interaction with Jamie will be missed, but her contagious smile and infectious laugh are etched into the hearts and minds of family and friends forever!
She did not like being the center of attention so to respect her wishes, only family and close friends will be received on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 10 am at Schoedinger Funeral and Cremation Service 6699 North Hight Street, Worthington. A lunch reception celebrating her life will follow at the French family home in Westerville.
