Jane Carnes

Jane Barbara Carnes, age 97, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at home in Akron, Ohio. She was born on August 9, 1921 in New London, Connecticut to the late John and Josephine Kupis. She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Arthur Carnes. Caring for her family, Jane was a stay at home mom. She took pride in her homemaking. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting. Later in life she played computer games on her iPad. She would play for hours. She also played Yahtzee every night with her daughters. She enjoyed spending time with all of her grandchildren. Jane is survived by her children; son, Arthur (Cheri) of Jacksonville, Florida, two daughters Barbara of Akron, Ohio, and Christine (Dick) of Medina, Ohio; four Grandchildren, Christine, Rich (Raven), William (Sarah) and Sarah; four great grandchildren, Al, Christopher, Noah and Willow; two Great-Great Grandchildren, Kay and Chyna; and many nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by all. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Summa Hospice and to Kindred at Home Care for all the loving care and support given in her final days.
