Janet Lynn Castellano, daughter of Earl and Jane (Forbes) Castellano, was born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 14, 1956. The family moved to Bainbridge when Janet was nine, where she graduated from Kenston High School in 1974. She went on to earn a Master's degree in English Literature from Kent State University.
She was a success in business, smiled often, enjoyed travel, great books, fine wines, and time with friends entertaining; a wonderful cook and talented baker.
Janet passed August 6. 2013, leaving behind the love of her life, Bryan Harpst, sister Nancy Green, nieces Megan and Kim Green, and Mackenzie and Ali Betrone-Harpst, together with many wonderful family and friends.
Janet gave the gift of life through organ donation.
Preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law Mike Green and several beloved pets, Janet devoted her life to the care and well-being of others. She actively supported the ASPCA, Susan Komen Foundation, World Wildlife Foundation, and numerous other charities, preferring memorial contributions be made in lieu of flowers.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday August 11 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., Worthington (Just south of I-270). To share memories or condolences, visit www.schoedinger.com.
