Janet Rose Daley

Janet Rose Daley was born June 3, 1937 in Evergreen, OH to Alexander Franklin and Mary Elizabeth (Joseph) Casto. She entered the loving arms of her Savior at her home in Wadsworth, OH on July 26, 2021 in the presence of her daughters. Janet graduated from Vinton High School, Gallia County, OH in 1955. While residing in Williamsport and Grove City, OH, Jan worked as an accountant. Upon retirement she relocated to Hudson, FL. Janet volunteered for programs at St John's Lutheran, Grove City, OH and Hudson First UMC, Hudson, FL along with community programs that benefited the homeless and veterans. She enjoyed sewing for friends, family, and neighbors, gardening, singing, painting, dancing, traveling, playing board games, working puzzles, and reading. She was a lifetime member of Women of the Moose Family Fraternity, a member of St John's Lutheran Church and a faithful attender of the Hudson First UMC. Janet was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nelson R Daley; sister Doris (Casto) Davis; and grand-daughter Sara Riley Williams. She is survived by her daughters Gail (Smallman) Waller of Wadsworth, OH, Kathy (Smallman) and David Fowler of Wadsworth, OH, Sharon (Smallman) and Chuck Bower of Mt Sterling, OH; step-children Jim and Karen Daley of Allen TX, Judy (Daley) and Harry Corning of Grove City OH; brothers Paul and Kat Casto of Columbus OH, Les and Debbie Casto of Williamsport OH; special nephew Nelson (Esther) Brinkman of Elizabethtown NC; ten grandchildren many great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren along with a host of friends. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at St John's Lutheran Church, Grove City, OH. The family will receive visitors from 11 to 12:00 with service to follow. Interment will take place at the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Donations may be made in Janet's name to the American Cancer Society.
