Janet Lou Frank

Janet Lou "Jan" Frank, age 82, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 23, 2015. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 22, 1932 to the late Anthony and Mary Melfe. Jan was a 1951 graduate of Central High School and was a member of the Central High School Alumni Association. She married her soulmate, Robert E. Frank in 1951 and they celebrated 42 years of marriage before his passing in 1994. She worked for Columbus Showcase, Western Electric, for Executive Caterers at Stoney Creek Country Club before retiring from Longhorn Steakhouse in Reynoldsburg where she worked as Banquet Manager for many years. She joined St. Pius X Catholic Church in 1958 where she was a member of the seniors group. She was also a member of Guiding Hand CCL and a former member of the Reynoldsburg Senior Center. Jan is survived by her loving children, Tony (Laurie) Frank, Terry (Jim) Wade, Tina (Susan) Frank, and Tim (Michelle) Frank; cherished grandchildren, Brandon, Darren, Colton, Courtney, Kyle, Tyler, and Maddie; cherished great granddaughter, Addison; brother and close friend, Robert (Kitty) Melfe; special aunt, Norma DeStefano; dear brother in-law, David Frank; dear sister in-law, Joie (Tony) Friedel; and several wonderful nieces and nephews. Jan was passionate about spending time with her family and many friends. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her. Friends may call on Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 5:00PM-8:00PM at the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 East Livingston Avenue, Columbus, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 10:00AM at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1051 S. Waggoner Road, Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068. Msgr. David Funk, Celebrant. Entombment will be held privately at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lockbourne, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jan's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
