Janet C. Spitzer

Janet C O'Brien Spitzer, age 83 of Grove City, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022 at The Laurels of West Columbus. Janet was born in Columbus to the late Harland B. and Cora (née Hull) Woodruff and graduated from West High School, Class of 1956. She was a supervisor for the Franklin County Welfare Department, and Volunteered at Doctors West Hospital. Janet was a longtime and faithful member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Grove City. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband Thomas P. O'Brien, Sr.; and her brothers Jack, Stan, and Bill Woodruff. Janet is survived by her husband William W. Spitzer; son Thomas P. (Linda) O'Brien Jr. of Grove City; sister-in-law Marilyn Martin of Grove City; grandchildren Erin (Bryan) Althaus and Thomas P. (Brittany) O'Brien III, both of Grove City; special nieces Connie (Mike) Bellringer of Rowlett, TX, Sheri (Brent) Haas of Flower Mound, TX; and many other nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 11 AM Friday, January 28 at Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
