Jason M. Kennedy, age 49, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, after a 4-year battle with glioblastoma. Jason was born on January 27, 1975, in Kenton, Ohio. He was a 1993 graduate of Benjamin Logan High School.

Jason met the love of his life, Valerie, at Ohio State University during their senior year. Jason graduated with a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice and later a earned a Bachelor’s in Management Information Systems. Excited to start their lives together, Jason and Valerie were married in 1998 and made Columbus their home. He was a devoted and loving husband.
As an adoring father, Jason supported his boys’ athletic endeavors. While he had hoped they would have followed in his basketball or football footsteps, he was more than supportive of their interests in competitive swimming and water polo. Jason spent countless hours poolside in multiple states as Grant and Colin competed. He served as Board President of Upper Arlington Swim Club and as Booster President of Upper Arlington Aquatics.
Jason found ways to spend quality time with his sons, as their hobbies and interests developed. Jason secured season passes to Mid-Ohio raceway, where he and Grant would enjoy IMSA, Indycar, and GT races. He took Colin camping up through New England, then into the upper peninsula of Michigan and later a cross-country trip to the West Coast on an Amtrak sleeper car. These will prove to be treasured memories.
Jason was instrumental in planning the next family vacation, most of which always included a beach (and swimming pool) in the destination. It was not uncommon for Jason to spend 12 hours behind the wheel of his beloved 2009 Cadillac Escalade EXT on the way to The Outer Banks of North Carolina, Hilton Head, SC or Ft. Myers Beach in Florida.
Jason enjoyed a career in Information Technology, where he thrived in Project and Program Management. He was a favorite among his co-workers, injecting humor into the workplace, while producing results. Jason spent 27 years in IT. He was most recently a Senior Project Manager with Arcos, LLC. Jason was previously with his own company, Enterprise Project Management Consulting, LLC.
Jason will be missed by all those that knew him.
