Jay (Josephine Raitano) Davis

Jay (Josephine Raitano) Davis, age 85, went home to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her family, Friday, June 11, 2010. Jay was born June 2, 1925 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Francis X. and Annuncietta A. (Calderone) Raitano. Also preceded in death by her brothers, Carl and Anthony Raitano. Jay retired with 18 years of service as office manger with the State of Ohio. She will be missed by her loving children, James Davis, John (Nancy) Davis, JoAnne (Randall) Proehl, and Jack (Julie) Davis; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; beloved sister, Mary Rose Hayes of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 A.M. Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Catholic Church, 5225 Refugee Rd. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Monday at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where a prayer service will begin at 3:30 P.M. Msgr. Robert Noon Celebrant. Entombment Union Cemetery.
