

Jean (Berg) Lyday, age 58, of Grove City, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2011. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on May 14, 1953, and was a 1971 graduate of Grove City High School. Jean was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and she enjoyed cooking, hosting parties, and sewing. She was able to travel internationally through her husband’s career in the US Army, and she also enjoyed traveling to Florida and Mexico with friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Berg. Jean is survived by her husband, Richard Lyday; son, Brian Lyday; mother, Mary Lou Berg; siblings, Georgia (James) Voss, Martha Light, and Charles (Laurel) Berg; grandchildren, Nathan and Adyson; sister-in-law, Deborah (Charles) Manofsky; and many other extended family members and friends. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at the SCHOEDINGER NORRIS CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church, 4227 Broadway, Grove City, Pastor Robert R. Tolar, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery.
