

Jean "Tippy" Dye Trabue, age 94 of both Upper Arlington and Jupiter, Florida, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016. Jean was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Kenneth and Laura Dye. Also preceded in death by her husbands, John C. Trabue, MD and Phillip Tefft, and brother, Richard Dye. Jean graduated from North High School and Ohio State University Nursing School. Jean was a lifelong member of Scioto Country Club, Tequesta Country Club, and First Community Church. She was loving and caring and taught the importance of family and fun. She enjoyed swimming and took great joy in family gatherings for pool volleyball on Sundays and the Fourth of July. She will be greatly missed by her children, Nancy, Jack, Jim, Jeff (Mary), and Patty; grandchildren, Bonnie, Heath, Hugh, Halle, Katie, Kelly, Sean, and Molly; and other extended family members and dear friends. Memorial service will be held at 3 P.M. Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at First Community Church, Burkhart Chapel, 1320 Cambridge Blvd., where family will receive friends immediately following service.
