

Jeanne L. (Dunathan) Harrington, 84, of Worthington, went to be with her Lord and Savior, peacefully at home on December 11, 2012. She was surrounded by her four sons and loving husband. She was born April 29, 1928 in Shelby, Ohio and was a graduate of Shelby H.S. She graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University, where she majored in piano and organ. There, she met the love of her life, Carl Harrington.
Jeanne was an accomplished pianist and was a piano teacher for 30 years. She loved sharing her passion for music with her students and others.
Jeanne was a member of Xenos Christian Fellowship and formerly attended Linworth United Methodist Church, Liberty Presbyterian Church, and the Worthington United Methodist Church. She was very active in the Worthington Music Club and the Columbus Music Teachers Association.
Preceded in death by her parents, Lowell “Pete” and Madale Dunathan; granddaughter, Lindsay; and brother, Jack. Jeanne will be missed by her loving husband of 62 years, Carl; sons, Philip (Jill) Harrington, Thomas (Kathy) Harrington, Mark (Paula) Harrington, and Dennis (Ashley) Harrington; 12 grandchildren; and brothers, Jim (Dee) Dunathan, Jay (Linda) Dunathan, Rob Dunathan, and David (Linda) Dunathan. Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2012 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., Worthington (Just south of I-270). A Private family burial will be held.
A memorial service to celebrate Jeanne’s life will be held in January at the Worthington United Methodist Church and will be announced at a later date.
