

Jeannette Elora Maxwell, age 98 of Grove City passed away Saturday, November 14, 2020. She was born in Columbus on September 23, 1922 to the late Arch and Effie Rose Sharp. She later graduated from West High School. Jeanette lived most of her life on the Hilltop in Columbus, Ohio, a neighborhood she was very fond of. On February 29, 1944 Jeanette married her high school sweetheart Alvane "Bud" Maxwell. During World War II, she proudly served her country as a volunteer in the American Red Cross's Nurse's Aide Corps. Jeannette was a longtime member of Glenwood United Methodist Church and volunteered at the church thrift shop. She was also a member of the West High School Alumni Association. Jeannette retired from the FandR Lazarus credit department after 32 years of dedicated service. In addition to her parents, Jeannette is preceded in death by her husband and her sister Alice (Raymond) Moss. She is survived by her daughters Drinda Maxwell of Honolulu and Deena (Jack) Dorcy of Grove City ; grandchildren Christina (Brian) Drake, Kimberly Baum, and Kevin (Brandi) Dorcy; great-grandchildren Brandon, Jessica, Leland, Aaden, Jared, Kenley and Drew; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
