Jeannette Frie Sheffield

Jeannette passed away peacefully Saturday June 3, 2023. Born in Toledo, Ohio on February 27, 1922, she graduated North Side high school in Ft. Wayne, Indiana and attended Miami University. After her husband Tom died in 1968, she worked at Buckeye Federal Savings and Loan. She was a long-time member of Riverside Methodist Church.

Over her lifetime, she was a volunteer for Riverside Methodist Hospital, the Arthritis Foundation, and Riverside Methodist Church. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed golf and shuffleboard. She really enjoyed spending time at the cottage on Adams Lake, Indiana and being with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents George and Helen Frie, brother Charles Frie, sister Dorothy Frie, husband Thomas A. Sheffield, and daughter in law Tracy W. Sheffield. She is survived by sons Clifford (Pat) Sheffield, Douglas Sheffield, daughter Sue Ann Sheffield, granddaughter Kristen (Anne) Sheffield, granddaughter Megan (Dan) Crowley, and two great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be 2-4pm Thursday June 8, 2023 at Schoedinger Northwest with a memorial service following. In lieu of flowers, Jeannette requested contributions be made to Riverside Methodist Church, the Humane Society of the U.S., or a charity of your choice.
