

Jeannine R. Duncan, age 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at home. She was born on October 7, 1928 in Columbus, Ohio to the late George T. and Nellie L. (Baldwin) Brining. She was a graduate of Central High School class of 1945. Jeannine retired from White Westinghouse. She had many interest which included politics in which she volunteered many years at the election polls serving as a judge. She also was proficient in sewing, crocheting, arts and crafts. Jeannine had a deep love for bluegrass music which she shared with her surviving daughters and youngest grandson. She was a member and Past Matron of (Minerva) Triangle Chapter #592 Order of the Eastern Star and Past Bethel Guardian #86 International Order of Jobs Daughters where she gave tirelessly of her time and patience to help girls become poised young women. She was instrumental in the formation and institution of a new Bethel which prospered under her direction. Jeannine attended Columbia Heights United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold Duncan; daughter, Marcy Freeman and great granddaughter, Anndree` Haner. Survived by her children, Ronald (Doris) Stevens, Elayne Duncan, Dody (Michael) Myers, and Arthur (Kathy) Stevens; son- in-law, Michael Freeman; grandchildren, Jayson Jerisek (Lauryn Kronk), Jerry (Misty) Stevens, Renee` (Kevin) Haner, Shawn (Dee) Stevens, Shannon (Kenny) Wallace, Michelle Stevens and great grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 5-8 pm with an OES service at 7:30 pm on Friday at the SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio where funeral service will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, May 30, 2015. Interment Galloway Cemetery.
