

Jeffrey R. Hannan, age 52, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2011. He was born in Wheeling, W.Va., on March 30, 1959, and he grew up in Shadyside, Ohio, where he graduated from St. John’s Central. After studying at The Ohio State University, Jeff served as production manager of The Lantern, Ohio State’s campus newspaper, for 26 years. He loved sports and enjoyed many years of coaching his son’s baseball and football teams, as well as cheering on his grandson at his wrestling matches. He was kind and funny, and he would do anything for you. He loved the beach, and he adored his dogs. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Hannan. Jeff is survived by his wife of 30 years, Diane Hannan; children, Ashley Hannan and Jeffrey Hannan; grandson, Gage; mother, Eileen Hannan; brother, Dr. Robert Hannan and his children, Samantha, Haley, and Hunter; father- and mother-in-law, James and Barbara Russell; brother-in-law, James (Toni) Russell, and their children, Cortney, Taylor, and Skyler; sister-in-law, Bonnie (Greg) Glasgow, and their family, Jennifer (Andy) Josephson, Haley, Kelsey and Mia, Victor Williams, Raelyn and Rhyan, and Renee Williams, Aiden and Addison; and good friends. Family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, April 3, 2011, at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna.
