Jeffrey Earl Hilyard

Jeffrey Earl Hilyard, age 61, passed away on August 16, 2017 at Berger Hospital in Circleville, Ohio. He was born on December 27, 1955 in Cleveland, Ohio to his loving parents David and Martha (Hirst) Hilyard. Jeff graduated from Aurora High School, and went on to be a proud graduate of The Ohio State University. Jeff enjoyed being past President of Edwards Insulation and Commodore of The Scioto Boat Club. He enjoyed wine and owning part of The Michael Charles Premier Wines Franchise. He loved Siesta Key beach, The Cleveland Browns, and Clint Eastwood movies. He enjoyed traveling, reading and working daily crossword puzzles. He was a thoughtful man by all accounts, and loved his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, David Hilyard and his brother Andy Hilyard. Left to mourn his passing are his daughter Calina Hilyard; his mother Martha Hilyard; his sisters Crista (Peter) Dohoda and Liza (Mike) Tackett; his nieces Miranda (Nick) Robinson and Caitlin Conkel, and his nephew Drew Hilyard.

Jeff’s funeral service will be held at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, located at 151 East main Street Circleville, on Saturday, August 19th at 10:30am. Visitation will take place an hour prior. Funeral Celebrant Andrew Hoover will be officiating, and burial will follow at Forest Cemetery in Circleville.
