Jeffrey A. Little died on January 9, 2017 after a short but valiant battle with cancer. Jeff was born on December 3, 1955, in Stanford, CA, to Richard Jackson Little and Vivian Martha (Tiedemann) Little. Jeff is survived by Anne Cooper Little, his wife of 33 years, his son, Jackson David Little, his daughter in law Karla Kay Little, his cousins Cheslyn Mangano and Stefano Mangano, many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Jeff graduated in 1977 from Stanford University, and in 1980 from the Santa Clara University School of Law. Jeff began his career as a litigation attorney in San Francisco, and those who knew Jeff never thought that he would live more than a few miles from The Farm, but he moved to Gahanna, Ohio in 1994, and came to think of Central Ohio as home. Jeff was most recently employed as General Counsel of Safe Auto Insurance Company. Jeff was a long-time member of Jefferson Country Club and served two terms as its President. Jeff coached youth sports, and supported Gahanna Jefferson athletics and its marching band. Jeff was an enthusiastic participant in and spectator of numerous sports, and particularly enjoyed watching the San Francisco Giants, the Forty-Niners, and The Columbus Blue Jackets play. Jeff followed the Blue Jackets closely and reported on the team for various hockey news services, most recently The Cannon. Jeff loved to travel, and did so frequently with Anne and other family and friends. Jeff will be remembered by all who knew him for his keen intelligence, his wit, his optimism, his resilience, his empathy, his compassion, his humanity, his loyalty, his love of outrageous shirts and socks, and mostly, his love for his family. Jeff left an indelible mark on the souls of all who had the good fortune to have known him, and he will be missed by his many family members and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 455 Clark State Rd, Gahanna, OH, on January 21, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Attendees are encouraged to wear Hawaiian or other loud shirts or hockey gear. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio in Newark, Ohio.
