We congratulate Jeff on a life well lived. He injected joy and laughter into our lives, often when we needed it most. I was there long ago when his grandmother mused about his antics. He made her smile even when he wasn’t there. Remembering his cheerful personality entertains us now. Many thanks, Jeff, for being you.

We were lucky enough to have met Jeff and his family through CWRU Softball and to share the entire 2018 season with him.  Though we only had known Jeff a relatively short time, he made a lasting impression which makes his passing that much harder.  But we will always remember his gregarious, fun loving, and generous ways, with a smile.

Graduation 1986 - Wags, as always,  larger than life!

Mom and Dad purchased the Majestic Heart for the family of Jeffrey P Wagner.

Jeff Wagner was one of a kind. His enthusiasm for life was infectious. I feel blessed to have shared the CWRU Spartan’s 2018 season with him and his family - from the season-opening tournament in Tucson, AZ, to the magical, unforgettable trip the DIII Softball Champion in Oklahoma City, OK. Jeff may not have invented tailgating but he surely elevated it to a new level. It wasn’t just a cooler in his trunk or a team pennant flown on a mast. It was Jeff:  pulling people in, making everyone part of the crew, recounting plays and talking strategy, joking, laughing, and being a friend. I can’t believe he’s gone.

My prayers and love to all of the Wagner clan.  Jeff always brought out many laughs and I have many fond memories from years ago.

Rest in Peace my St X brother... I remember Jeff well from high school although it was many years ago. He sat in front of me in Geometry and it was there I learned about the phenomena of hair turning green from constant swimming! ;) Jeff always seemed to be in a good mood and was upbeat. He also filled me in on the insane commitment involved in being part of the St X swim team! Crazy early practices almost every day of the year if I recall correctly?!?!? Anyway, I'd like to share a couple yearbook photos from 1986. Positive thoughts and energy to everyone who knew and loved Jeff.

I am so sorry to hear about Jeff's passing. I can't think about my childhood and early swimming days without thinking about Jeff and the Wagner family - and smiling. Even in those days, Jeff was so funny and always made people laugh, but he was absolutely sincere in caring about others, especially his family. I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Jeff. I met Jeff and his brother Tim coaching a swim team together, the summer of 1988 at the Forest Park Swim Club in Cincinnati, Ohio. Jeff made me laugh constantly with his humor, fun loving personality and enthusiasm. I have nothing but the fondest memories of Jeff and the time we shared coaching at morning swim practice and meets. My sincere condolences and prayers to the Wagner family.
