Jerry graduated from Upper Arlington High School, class of 1963, where he was the drum major his senior year, and he had the lead role in The King and l. He even shaved his head to look more authentic. He graduated in 1986 from The Ohio State University, majoring in photography and he pursued that passion in the Ohio Air National Guard and in his own business, Jerry Anthony Photography, photographing artists’ work, including his wife’s art as well as at national shows and in his studio. In his spare time, Jerry sang with many area groups, including Vaud-ViIlities, Vocal Spotlight, the Yeomen and the Olentangy Men’s Chorus. He also acted at Players Theater, especially in musicals.
Jerry is preceded in death by parents George and Jeanette Anthony, brother Larry Anthony, sister Carole Lloyd and brother-in-law Dick Lloyd. He is survived by his former wife, Sharon Lee Richwine, niece Laura Lloyd, sister-in-law Cindy Anthony and niece Christine Anthony.
Visitation will be held at Schoedinger Northwest, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio, on Tuesday, April 25 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. with service to follow at 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wesley Glen choir or library (https://lec.org/communities/wesley-glen/), or to Eagle River Nature Center (https://www.ernc.org), which Dick & Carole Lloyd and friend Asta Spurgis established when Alaska could no longer support its visitor centers.
