Jerry Richard Burgett, Sr., age 71, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023 surrounded by his wife and children, He was born on February 22, 1952 to the late George L. Burgett, Sr. and Etna M. (Sahre) Burgett. Jerry loved classic cars, racing, fishing, hunting, and spending time with family. He was hell on wheels. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Georgette (Baucum) Burgett; children, Jerry R. Burgett, Jr., Jason J. Burgett, Tanya R. Burgett, and Wesley R. Burgett; grandchildren, Breann E. Eskelson, Kailynn J. Burgett, Jason J. Burgett, Jr., Roger E. Burgett, Rhylei J. Burgett, Hunter M. Hunley, Shavanna M. Hunley, Shelby L. Hall, Dalton W. Hall, Jermey R. Burgett, and Lilly R. Burgett; great-granddaughter, Miss Millie E. Sims. Family will receive friends 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm Friday March 3, 2023 at Schoedinger East, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where the funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday March 4th. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Schoedinger East to assist with funeral expenses.
