Jerry J. Campbell

Jerry grew up in Pewaukee, WI where he graduated High School in 1955. After graduation, he moved to Ohio to attend The Ohio State University where he was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in 1960, and met and married the love of his life in 1961. Jerry spent his whole life serving others. That servant heart led him to serve his country in the Navy Reserves for 6 years, and to serve his community throughout his career at Nationwide, The Ohio State Medical Association for 30 years, Crittenton Family Services, United Way, and The food bank of Columbus. After retirement, Jerry spent many years continuing to serve his community as a volunteer at his local hospital.

Jerry was full of life. He was an avid Buckeye fan, a Mexican train champion, and a family man. He spent his entire life ensuring his family was his first priority. From family vacations to scouts he was always present. He continued that tradition with his grandchildren and even great grandchildren. Jerry was his family’s biggest cheerleader, supporting all their passions and success. Even in his final days he was focused on getting home to his wife and making plans for the future. He was truly proud of his family.

Jerry is preceded in death by his father, Gerald Campbell; mother, Jean Gluth; step-mother, Marianne Campbell; and daughter, Jennifer Campbell. He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Roberta (Tarbox) Campbell; sister, Linda Ries; children Connie De Schepper; and Gerry (Cindy) Campbell; grandchildren Courtney (Johnathan) Hill, Trevor (Sara) De Schepper, Kitty Campbell, Carson Campbell, and Corey Campbell; 6 great grandchildren, Camron, Jade, Jada-Fe, Johnathan Jr., Emmersyn, and Jennifer; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends

Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, February 17, 2025 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221, where a reception will follow from 3-5 PM.
