Jerry W. Lawson, age 91, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 20, 2026. Jerry was born on June 27, 1935, in Bolivar, Missouri to the late James and Ruth Lawson. He was a long-time member of the Crossroads United Methodist Church. During that time, he served as a trustee, sang in the choir and was active in the men's group. Jerry enjoyed sports of all kinds. He was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. He also enjoyed watching golf and football. He really enjoyed watching his young grandsons play baseball. Jerry was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Catherine "Katie" Lawson and grandson, Gabriel. He is survived by his son Brian, grandson Garrett (Paris), brother-in-law Jim Kern (Kathy), and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026 from 4-7 pm at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services by Schoedinger Hilltop, 3030 W Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am at Crossroads United Methodist Church, 1100 S. Hague Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43204, with Rev. Kevin Orr officiating. Interment at Sunset Cemetery.
