Jerry C. Maxwell departed this life on March 10, 2026, following a courageous battle against multiple illnesses. Born to Gerald and Mary Maxwell on April 11, 1944, in Bakersfield, California, Jerry was their firstborn child of two boys. Jerry spent his childhood in San Diego and El Cajon, California. He obtained a master's degree in Business from the University of Southern California. Jerry served the Department of Defense for over 30 years, with assignments at China Lake, CA, and Yokosuka, Japan, with the Navy, and in Dayton and Columbus, OH, with the Defense Logistics Agency. In his free time, Jerry pursued his interests in scuba diving, collecting antiques, and repairing small gasoline engines. He also enjoyed wintering in Arizona. Jerry is survived by four daughters, one son, seven grandchildren, his younger brother Mike of San Diego, CA, and his long-time companion Carmela Shannon of Columbus, OH, as well as many friends and extended family.
