Jerry Randolph Pearce

Jerry R. Pearce, 82, of Johnstown, Ohio passed away peacefully on August 3, 2016 at Countryview of Sunbury. He was born December 16, 1933 in Columbus, Ohio to Arthur and Helen (Ogan) Pearce; also preceded in death by his son Gregory; brother, Eugene and sister Bonnie Anelick. Jerry met the love of his life, Lora (Tietz) when he was only 19, and she accepted his hand in marriage on April 24, 1954. Jerry and Lora enjoyed 62 wonderful years together. He was a graduate of Central High School, class of 1951, and a member of the United Steelworkers. He worked as a quality control inspector at Armstrong, Lenox, Maytag, and finally retired from Griffin Wheel Co In addition to his devoted wife Lora, he is also survived by children, Jeffrey (Kathy), Lisa, Diana and David (Robin); 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ray Pearce, Marolyn Luster and Carolyn Anelick; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Funeral service 1pm Monday, August 8, 2016 at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230 where family will welcome friends from 12-1pm; Graveside service 2:30pm at Concord Cemetery, Liberty Twp., Johnstown, Ohio. Maps available at the funeral home.
