Jessie P. Stephens, age 88 of Pataskala, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2012. Jessie was born and raised in Blaine, Kentucky, daughter of the late Edmund and Mary Ross. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harley Stephens, daughter, Regina Combs, and 7 siblings. Jessie was a very loving and strong willed woman. She was a member of the Southeast Conservation Club, VFW and the Woman’s Auxiliary of the American Legion. She enjoyed spending winters in Florida, gardening and quilting. She was an avid euchre player and never missed watching a Cincinnati Reds game. Most of all however, Jessie truly enjoyed time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Rita (Bill) Cook; grandchildren, Rodney (Jenny) Combs, Autumn Barner, and Bill (Princess) Cook; great grandchildren, Tyler, Tristan, Cassius, Paizley, Rhyley, and Summer; step-son, Harley “Sonny” (Bev) Ranft and his family; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., where family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday.
