Jim Tope

Earl “Jim” Tope, age 57, of Grove City, Ohio passed away Saturday, December 24, 2011 at OSU Medical Center. He was born and raised in Columbus and was a 1972 graduate of Franklin Heights High School. He was an accomplished upholsterer and enjoyed coaching recreational league football for many years. He loved his family and especially loved being a grandpa. He is survived by his mother, Barb Tope; children, Melinda (Paul) Brunty, Angela Tope and James (Danielle) Tope and their mother, Sue Tope; grandchildren, Tyler Tope, Ryan Brunty, Shelby Tope and Myles Tope; brothers, Steve, Terry, Keith and Chris Tope and sister, Pamala Tope; significant other, Teresa Burch; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, James “Red” Tope. Funeral Services will be held at 6pm Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123 where family will receive friends from 5-6pm.
