

James “Jim” W. Underwood, age 70, passed into the hands of our Lord on April 2, 2012. He was born December 20, 1941 in Derby, Ohio to the late William B. and Minnie E. (Fast) Underwood; also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Linda “Lin” Underwood; two sons, Robert (Stacy) Underwood of Circleville and John Underwood of Houston, Texas; daughter, Jami (Troy) Schooley of Commercial Point; beloved grandchildren, Josh (Kristin), Alyzabeth, Jessica, Alexis, Riley, and Reid Underwood and Amanda and Caleb Schooley; great-grandchildren, Lillie and Zoie Keeton; sister, Susie (Lester) Jahn and brother, Walter (Wanda) Underwood; sister-in-law, Ella Underwood; mother-in-law Charlene Lawson and sisters-in-law, Ethel (Bill) Yeager and Carol (Mike) Fullen; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and loving friend Yvonne Hunter. Jim was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of American Legion Post #888; also a member of Orient United Methodist Church and Retired Local 969-General Motors member. He will be remembered as a loyal and helpful friend, father and husband. Family will receive friends 5-8pm Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123 where services will be held Thursday at 1pm; Pastor Gerald Koster, officiating.
