

Jimmy R. Holbrook, 67 of Columbus, died Monday, August 13, 2012 at home. He was born August 29, 1944 in Portsmouth, OH to the late Frank and Hattie (Atkins) Holbrook. He was a graduate of Northwestern High School, Lucasville and a U. S. Army veteran. He retired from Conie Construction after 42 years and served 28 years with Franklin Twp. Police. He was a member of the Country Western Music Association. He is survived by Joyce L. Holbrook, his wife of 30 years, sons Charles W. (Marsha) Gearhart III, Brian A. Gearhart, grandchildren Brian A. Gearhart Jr., Laura M. Gearhart, great grandchildren Brayden and Kaiden Grace, brother-in-law Danny (Marlane) Goldsberry, sister Connie Gambeal, GA, sister-in-law Kay Reed, St. Albans, WV, close friends Joe and Judy Thurston, Blacklick, OH, Bill Carper, SC, several cousins, nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends today from 5-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway where a funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 AM. Interment will follow in Pleasant Cemetery, Mt.
